Following India’s triumph in the Asia Cup, the Indian cricket team, along with Gautam Gambhir, has shifted its focus to the upcoming Test series against the West Indies. Gambhir, along with the entire support staff, traveled 1770 kilometers from Dubai to Ahmedabad to prepare for the series. They arrived in Ahmedabad late Monday night. Spinner Kuldeep Yadav was also spotted with the team. The first Test match between India and West Indies is scheduled to begin on October 2 in Ahmedabad. The West Indies team has already arrived for the two-match series. The second Test is to be held in Delhi, commencing on October 10. Historically, India and West Indies have played 100 Test matches, with India winning 23 and West Indies winning 30. 47 matches have ended in a draw, with West Indies having a slight edge in the matches played in India (14-13).
