India's dominant first innings of 462 runs set a steep 372‑run target for Sri Lanka. The visitors started poorly, losing four wickets for just 47 runs. Captain Dhananjaya de Silva (59) and debutant Sonal Dinusha (84) tried to rebuild, but the partnership could not bridge the gap.
