From NCAA Champion to Commonwealth Stage: Salva Prabhu’s Journey

Mumbai, July 20 – The path that took Salva Prabhu from an NCAA champion to India’s next senior triple jumper at the 2026 Commonwealth Games is now complete. The 21‑year‑old, who earned a silver medal at the World U‑20 level, has been lauded as one of the nation’s brightest talents in the event.

Speaking about his upcoming debut, Prabhu said, “Representing India at my first senior multi‑sport tournament is an incredible honour. I have chased this dream for years and now I want to give my all, raise the nation’s flag high and learn from the best in the world.”
