Former Afghanistan head coach joins Ireland to advise on first two ODIs

Jonathan Trott, who led the Afghanistan national side as head coach from 2022 to early 2026, has been appointed as a short‑term consultant for Ireland’s men’s team. His mandate is to guide the Irish side through the opening two fixtures against Afghanistan in the August ODI series.
