First T20 Against Zimbabwe: Akash Chopra’s Selected XI Highlights

Former India player Akash Chopra has announced the eleven that will take the field in the opening T20 match against Zimbabwe on July 13 at Harare Sports Club. The opening pair features 15‑year‑old Vibhav Suryavanshi, with Abhishek Sharma providing stability at number two. Ishaan Kishan slots in at three, while captain Shreyas Iyer, also a key batsman, occupies the fourth spot. Tilak Varma follows at five. The all‑round squad includes Shivam Dubey, Suryansh Shedge and Harsh Dubey, each expected to contribute with bat and ball. The bowling unit is led by returning pacer Mayank Yadav, supported by Prince Yadav, and spinners are represented by Ravi Bishnoi alone. Rinku Singh and Prabhjot Singh were not included.
