FFF Names Zidane as New Manager, Replaces Deschamps

The French Football Federation (FFF) has officially appointed Jinédine Zidane as the head coach of the senior national team, succeeding Didier Deschamps. The decision was announced after a board meeting and a dedicated press conference by federation chief Philippe Diallo. Zidane, 54, will begin his tenure on August 1 and will oversee France’s participation in the upcoming Nations League, the 2028 European Championship qualifiers, and the road to the 2030 World Cup. He will also announce his backroom staff in September, completing the coaching setup for the next four-year cycle.
