Bhuvneshwar Kumar, the seasoned Indian fast bowler, spoke about the calming influence of his family after his exit from the international stage. The 36‑year‑old, who played his final match for India in November 2022, boasts a career tally of 21 Tests, 121 ODIs and 87 T20Is.

He said, "I am completely at peace, thanks to my family. We never discuss the national team at home – no talks about selection, no regrets. That environment has helped me move forward without bitterness."

Kumar also mentioned that change is a natural part of sport. "Generations come and go, and I am not the first nor will I be the last to experience this transition. The game evolves, and my family has been a steady anchor throughout," he added.

Continuing to play the IPL and state‑level competitions, Kumar emphasized staying disciplined, getting enough cricket exposure, and allowing sufficient downtime for recovery.
