Emerging Talent Joins Veteran Players in Bangladesh’s Sixes Line‑up

Bangladesh’s roster for the Hong Kong Sixes 2026 showcases a strategic blend of established internationals and rising stars. The six‑player tournament, set for October 30‑November 1 at the Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground, will see captain Abu Hossain Rony steering the side.

Alongside Rony and fellow international Sabbir Rahman Roman, the team introduces fresh faces such as Simoun Bashir Radtul, Chowdhury Mohammad Rizwan, Mrityunjay Chowdhury, Aharar Amin and Habibur Rahman Sohon. The young group is expected to contribute across batting, bowling and fielding, a requirement in a format where each bowler delivers a single over, except for the designated wicket‑keeper and a fixed bowler who may bowl twice.

Bangladesh’s previous appearance in 2025 ended with a one‑run defeat to the hosts. This time, the blend of Rony’s experience, Roman’s recent 184‑run T20 campaign in Australia, and the vigor of the newcomers aims to reverse that outcome and deepen the competitive ties among Asian cricket nations.
