DPL 2026 match recap: Superstars chase down 218 target with Dahia’s unbeaten knock
In a thrilling DPL 2026 encounter, South Delhi Superstars chased down a 218‑run target set by New Delhi Tigers, clinching victory by six wickets at Arun Jethli Stadium.
The Tigers, after winning the toss, posted 217 for seven. Early wickets fell as Keshav Dalal Singh (17) and Dev Chaudhary (0) were dismissed quickly. Vaibhav Rawal’s 44‑run innings, supported by a 62‑run stand with Atulya Pandey, helped the Tigers recover, but they could not build a larger total.
South Delhi’s innings started shakily, losing two wickets before reaching 50 runs. Ayush Badoni and Pranav Pant then forged a 56‑run partnership, taking the score past the 100‑run milestone. Captain Tejasvi Dahia entered the fray and, alongside Prashu Vijayran, added a decisive 76‑run unbeaten partnership. Dahia’s 60 runs, packed with four sixes and six fours, anchored the chase.
The bowlers also made an impact. Divansh Rawat and Lakshman each claimed two wickets for the Tigers, while Lakshman mirrored the effort for the Superstars. The win propels South Delhi to fifth place on the points table, having secured three wins from seven matches, whereas the Tigers slip to seventh after six defeats.
