DP World Tour Elevates Indian Golf with $4 Million India Championship
India’s golfing landscape received a major boost in 2026 when the DP World Tour partnered with a global smart‑logistics provider to launch the India Championship at Delhi Golf Club.
The four‑day event, scheduled for October 15‑18, features a $4 million prize pool and a field that boasts European Ryder Cup skipper Luke Donald and 2019 Open champion Shane Lowry. Both players will return after impressive showings in the 2025 edition.
Other top‑ranked Europeans expected to compete include Tommy Fleetwood, Rory McIlroy, Justin Rose, Ryan Fox and Viktor Hovland. Their presence highlights the tournament’s rapid rise as a key fixture on the international calendar.
As part of the 2026 Race to Dubai “Back 9,” the India Championship will act as a critical stepping stone before the season finale in Dubai, reinforcing India’s growing stature in professional golf.
