The spotlight falls on Indian women's golf this week as four players prepare to compete at the Jabra Ladies Open in France. Disha Dagar and Pranavi Urs head the team, supported by Avani Prashanth and Hitashi Bakshi, at the prestigious Evian Resort Golf Club. The event marks another important step in the growing presence of Indian golfers on the Ladies European Tour. Disha arrives in excellent form after a productive start to 2026. She has recorded four top-20 finishes so far, including two inside the top 10, while making the cut in seven of her ten appearances. Currently ranked 21st on the LET Order of Merit, the two-time LET winner will be looking to build on her recent momentum following another solid top-20 result at the Lalla Meryem Cup. Her best finish this season remains a tie for fifth at the Australian Women's Classic. Pranavi Urs has also been consistent throughout the campaign. Despite falling just short of the top 10 in Morocco, she secured a tie for 17th, marking her second top-20 finish of the year. With seven cuts made from ten starts, the Mysore golfer currently sits 49th in the rankings and will be targeting a strong performance in France to improve her standing. Avani Prashanth is still searching for her first significant result of the season, with a tie for 39th at the PIF Saudi Ladies International her best effort so far. Hitashi Bakshi has shown promise with a top-10 finish at the Australian WPGA Championship, keeping her inside the top 100 on the Order of Merit despite an uneven rookie season. With the field featuring some of the world's top female golfers, the Jabra Ladies Open offers the Indian players a chance to test themselves against elite competition and potentially deliver career-best performances on the European stage.
