Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Sports Minister Mandaviya applaud historic medals

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also praised the twin successes on X. He noted that Gulveer Singh is the first Indian to win a Commonwealth Games medal in the men’s 10,000 m, calling the feat “historic and exemplary.” Singh added that Harjinder Kaur’s silver in the 69 kg women’s weightlifting event showcases India’s growing strength in the sport. Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya sent a similar note, saying the athletes’ “dynamic performances and podium presence make the nation proud.”
