Commonwealth Games Flag Arrives in Gandhinagar, Marks Start of Gujarat’s 2030 Hosting Journey

The Commonwealth Games flag, presented at the Glasgow closing ceremony, was transferred to Gujarat officials on August 5. Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi described the flag’s handover as the official commencement of Gujarat’s preparations for the 2030 Games in Ahmedabad. He praised the performances of Gujarat’s top athletes, whose successes at the 2026 Games have elevated the state’s reputation. Sanghvi reiterated that the state’s sports facilities are open to all Indian athletes, promising full support for the upcoming Games.
