Trinbago Knight Riders captain Nicholas Pooran, who retired from international cricket at the age of 29, showcased exceptional batting skills against the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons in the Eliminator. Chasing a target of 167 runs, Nicholas Pooran and Alex Hales formed an unbeaten partnership of 143 runs in 86 balls for the second wicket, leading the team to victory in 17.3 overs.
Pooran scored an unbeaten 90 runs off 53 balls, including 8 sixes and 3 fours. Alex Hales contributed an unbeaten 54 runs from 40 balls, with 3 fours and 3 sixes. The Knight Riders’ only wicket fell to Colin Munro, who was out for 14 runs, caught by Rahkeem Cornwall. Following this, Pooran and Hales ensured no further damage. Following the defeat against the Knight Riders in the Eliminator, the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons’ journey in CPL 2025 concluded. Batting first in the match, the Falcons scored 166 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. Openers Amir Jangoo and Andre Gous played well, but their dismissals led to a collapse.
