Complete List of India’s Track and Field Athletes for Asian Games 2026

The Athletics Federation of India has unveiled a comprehensive roster of 77 athletes set to represent the nation at the 2026 Asian Games in Japan. The men’s team includes sprinters Gurinderveer Singh, Animesh Kujur and Vishal TK, 400 m specialists Rajesh Ramesh and Mohammed Ashfaq, middle‑distance runners Unus Shah, Gulveer Singh and Avinash Sabale, as well as a full complement of jumpers, throwers and relay members. The women’s contingent features Harita Bhadra, Unnati Bolanda, Prachi, Kiran Pahal, Parul Choudhary, Jyoti Yaaraji and a host of other athletes covering events from 200 m to the marathon. Veteran javelin thrower Yashveer Singh replaces Neeraj Chopra, while second‑string javelinist Rohit Yadav also makes the cut. In the throws section, hammer throwers Praveen Kumar and Damanit Singh, discus star Sanya Yadav and pole‑vaulter Sindhusri Ji round out the line‑up. The squad carries forward 15 Asian Games champions and medalists, aiming to improve on the 29 medals (6 gold, 14 silver, 9 bronze) India secured at the Hangzhou edition.
