Col Palmer signs new contract with Chelsea through 2034

London, 10 October – Forward Col Palmer has put his signature on a fresh agreement that will see him remain a Chelsea player until the end of the 2034 campaign. The 24‑year‑old joined the London side in August 2023 and has since become a key figure in their offensive strategy.

Palmer has played 138 games for the Blues, scoring 91 goals. His goal‑scoring exploits were instrumental in Chelsea’s victorious runs in the FIFA Club World Cup and the UEFA Conference League, reinforcing his reputation as a match‑winner.

During a press conference, Palmer said he is excited about the future at Chelsea, praising the club’s progress and the confidence he gained from talks with the owners, sporting directors and the head coach. He added that the unified aim of the squad is to win big titles, and he wants to contribute significantly to that mission.

The striker’s debut season was extraordinary – 25 goals and 19 assists earned him the club’s Player of the Season award, the Premier League Young Player of the Season, and the Professional Footballers’ Association Young Player of the Year trophy. He continued his high‑level output the following year, delivering an assist hat‑trick against Wolverhampton Wanderers and scoring four first‑half goals against Brighton & Hove Albion. Palmer also helped secure the UEFA Conference League by providing two assists in the final versus Real Betis, and he netted twice in the 3‑0 FIFA Club World Cup final win over Paris Saint‑Germain in July 2025.

In the latest season, Palmer contributed 14 goals and three assists, including a hat‑trick against Wolfsburg and a goal against Bayern Munich in the Champions League. He also scored for England against Spain at Euro 2024, becoming the second English player to register a goal in a European Championship final. The current season has begun promisingly, with four goals and two assists in Chelsea’s first seven matches.
