Gerald Coetzee returns, Rubada dropped ahead of September ODIs

Fast bowler Gerald Coetzee has been named in South Africa’s 16‑man ODI squad, replacing Kagiso Rabada, who is focusing on rehabilitation after a hamstring strain. Coetzee last appeared in the 2023 World Cup and has struggled with injuries in recent seasons, making his recall a significant boost for the Proteas' pace department.

Rabada’s omission allows him to concentrate on regaining full fitness for the forthcoming Test series, while Coetzee’s pace and swing are expected to add variety to the bowling attack.
