Coach Sardar Singh Prepares Young Players for 5‑S Format Ahead of Oman Tournament

Former Indian captain Sardar Singh will oversee the Sub‑Junior Men’s National Camp, guiding fifteen youngsters who have already tasted success at the Under‑18 Asia Cup.

Singh highlighted the importance of understanding the strategic nuances of Hockey 5‑S, noting that the two‑week camp will concentrate on speed, positional play, and set‑piece execution. He praised Punjab University for providing excellent facilities and logistical support.

“The opportunity to represent India in a new format at a continental championship is unique for these players,” Singh said. “Our goal is to build the core competencies they need for international competition and for the rest of their hockey journey.”
