Satya Rajput, Raipur. Like every year, on the occasion of Vijayadashami, this year too a grand Dussehra festival was organized at WRS ground in Raipur. After Ramlila and fireworks, the chief guest of the program, CM Vishnu Dev Sai, burnt Chhattisgarh’s largest 101 feet effigy of Ravana by pressing the button from the remote. The city residents had come in large numbers to participate in this grand event.
During his address at the program, CM Vishnu Dev Sai, while wishing the people of the state on Vijayadashami, said that this festival symbolizes the victory of truth over untruth and good over evil. He said, “Ravan Vadh is being organized here for the last 53 years. Lord Ram is our nephew and this festival inspires us to follow the path of truth.”
The Chief Minister said, “Today let us all take a pledge that whatever evil is there in the state, we will remove it like Ram, Laxman and Hanuman. Only then will the festival of Vijayadashami be special.” Inspiring to follow the path of truth, he said that no matter how many troubles and difficulties come, in the end only truth wins.
