CM Abdullah emphasizes year‑round training with heated aquatic facilities

Speaking at the inauguration, CM Abdullah highlighted that the heated pool will run on solar energy, allowing athletes, students and the public to train even during the harsh winter months. He said the centre offers youngsters the chance to explore sports beyond traditional games and to develop skills for national and international competitions.

“The new infrastructure gives a fresh environment for sports. For the first time in Kashmir we have an Olympic‑size pool with solar heating, so children can practice twelve months a year,” the chief minister remarked.
