Classic Swiss, Rapid and Blitz Formats Featured in Upcoming Event

The championship will adopt a multi‑format structure designed to test a wide range of chess abilities. The nine‑round Classical Swiss system will host all 157 entrants, while the Rapid and Blitz sections will see 153 and 151 players respectively. Participants will compete for titles in both open and junior women’s sections.

Winners who already hold the International Master (IM) title will be awarded a Grandmaster norm, whereas those without the IM title will receive an IM norm. The format aims to provide ample opportunities for norm seekers and to maintain a high competitive standard throughout the week-long event.
