Chikita Taniparthi and Sahil Jadhav Qualify for Los Angeles 2028 Olympics After Asian Games Triumph
Hyderabad, 30 September – Archers Chikita Taniparthi and Sahil Jadhav secured a place at the upcoming Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games by winning gold in the mixed compound archery event at the Asian Games. Their victory came after a tightly contested final against South Korea, where the score was locked at 157‑157 before the Indian duo prevailed in a decisive shoot‑off.
The Chief Minister of Telangana, A. Revanth Reddy, congratulated the pair for their outstanding performance, noting that their success adds another chapter to the state’s sporting legacy. He praised Chikita’s earlier gold in the women’s mixed team event, where teammates Vennam Jyothi Surekha and Prathika Pradeep also earned medals.
