Prabhtej Singh Bhatia is going to become the new treasurer of BCCI. Saturday (January 4) was the last date of application for this post, in which the only application has come from Prabhtej Singh Bhatia. In such a situation, Prabhtej is certain to be elected unopposed as the new treasurer of the Board of Control for Cricket in India in the meeting to be held in Mumbai on January 12. The new treasurer of BCCI will also be formally announced on the same day. This is the first time that a CSCS representative will hold such a big responsibility in BCCI.
Let us tell you that after becoming the new treasurer of BCCI, Prabhtej Singh Bhatia will hold his post till September 2025, after which he will be eligible to contest elections again. As per BCCI rules, each official has a tenure of three years and can hold the post for three consecutive terms. There is also a mandatory cooling-off period of three years between each tenure.

Prabhtej Singh Bhatia, born in Raipur in the year 1991, is the son of the state’s veteran industrialist and social worker Baldev Singh Bhatia. Both of them have a lot of passion for cricket, which is why they have taken state cricket to new heights. Prabhtej Singh’s father Baldev Singh has also been the President of Chhattisgarh Cricket Association (CSCS). Prabhtej received his schooling from Shimla. After this, he did a course in Finance in Economics Honors from the University of Exeter, United Kingdom.
