Centurion Akshar Patel looks back on a decade of T20 cricket

As India prepares for the fourth T20 against England, Akshar Patel prepares for a personal landmark – his 100th T20 International. The left‑arm spinner, who debuted on July 17, 2015, has played 99 matches so far, staying not‑out in 19 innings and compiling 746 runs. Over the years his role evolved from a fringe player with just a handful of games to a mainstay who has featured in two T20 World Cups. "The journey feels like a roller‑coaster; the early years were sporadic, but since 2021 I have been a regular," Patel said.
