Celebrities and Athletes Unite at Sunday on Cycle to Inspire a Drug‑Free Generation

In a vibrant gathering at New Delhi’s Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, television star Siddharth Nigam, squash international Gurveer Singh, Fit India ambassador Naren Kumar and fitness stalwart Meenal Pathak pedaled together for the 85th Sunday on Cycle. The march, part of the national Fit India initiative, centered on the “Nasha Mukt Bharat” agenda.

During a brief press conference, Siddharth reflected on his athletic background, noting that physical fitness safeguards one’s most valuable possession – the body. He warned against any form of addiction, stating that true growth stems from perseverance, hard work and clear aspirations.

Meenal highlighted that fitness cultivates lifelong discipline, while Gurveer emphasized the urgency of steering young people away from harmful substances. Naren Kumar, representing the government’s vision, reiterated the call for every citizen to allocate at least half an hour each day to physical activity.

The event concluded with a pledge from all participants to continue championing healthy living and to serve as role models for the nation’s youth.
