Captain Sikandar Raza Leads Zimbabwe’s Revised T20 XI for Home Series vs Bangladesh
In Harare, Zimbabwe Cricket announced a 15‑player squad for the three‑match T20 International series against Bangladesh, to be played on 15, 17 and 19 July in Bulawayo. Sikandar Raza will captain a team that largely consists of the backbone that delivered a Super‑8 finish at the 2026 T20 World Cup. New blood arrives in the form of fast bowler Nyamuhuri, who has not yet appeared in a T20 fixture, and batsman Milton Shumba, who returns after a four‑year gap since the 2022 World Cup. Ben Currey remains in the top‑order, while left‑handed all‑rounder Graham Kramer is sidelined with injury. Selector David Mutendera highlighted that the focus was on maintaining the successful core while integrating players who have earned spots through recent performances, providing a platform to prepare for upcoming major tournaments.
