Captain Ayan on pressure, professionalism and gold ambition

The Indian captain reflected on the responsibility of representing the nation at a multi‑sport event. “There is always pressure to stay on top, but it’s a positive pressure. We have set a performance benchmark as a unit and we keep chasing it.” Ayan added that every match during the Asian Games offers valuable practice and exposure to new teams, contributing to the growth of cricket in India. He emphasized the need for fitness and mental readiness, saying, “We must keep our bodies and minds in peak condition if we aim to win gold.”
