Brijbushan Sharan Singh Vows to Push 2026 Medalists to Olympic Podium

Speaking to the press, Brijbushan Sharan Singh said the six wrestlers who medalled at the Asian Games will be the focus of an intensified Olympic preparation programme. He highlighted the need for coordinated effort among the government, the wrestling federation and the athletes themselves to translate Asian Games success into Olympic medals.

Singh pointed out that the past two to three years have seen turbulence in Indian wrestling, which hampered athletes' ability to replicate strong performances. He assured that the current harmony among stakeholders will be leveraged to ensure that the same six wrestlers aim for podium finishes at the upcoming Olympic Games.
