Rafael Meshi Bowli brings physicality and experience to Punjab FC frontline

Punjab FC has bolstered its attack by signing Cameroonian centre‑forward Rafael Meshi Bowli on a deal lasting until 31 May 2027. The 185‑cm striker is known for his robust build, commanding presence in the air and an instinctive understanding of the penalty area.

Whether deployed as a lone striker or as part of a fluid front three, Bowli’s ability to hold up play and link with teammates adds a new dimension to Punjab’s offensive strategy.

A former senior international for the Indomitable Lions, Bowli first made his mark in Indian football with Kerala Blasters during the 2019‑20 ISL season, netting eight goals. He later flourished in China, scoring over 40 goals across clubs like Nanjing City, Yanbian Funde and Shijiazhuang Gongfu, and also featured in Iran with Foolad before returning to the ISL with East Bengal and Jamshedpur.

At the press conference, Bowli praised Punjab FC’s facilities and clear objectives, stating that his familiarity with the league’s demands will help him deliver consistent performances and delight the fan base with goals and victories.
