Bhuvneshwar Kumar Set for Bangalore T20 Showdown as Replacement Bowler
Bengaluru, 16 October – The Indian cricket board confirmed that experienced swing bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar will travel to Bangalore for the final T20 International against the West Indies. The inclusion comes after Arshdeep Singh was forced off with a shoulder injury during the fourth match, prompting the selectors to act quickly.
While Arshdeep Singh is not officially ruled out, his participation will be decided based on his recovery status on the day of the match. Kumar's recent IPL performances have earned him a recall, and he is expected to add depth to India's pace attack.
Kumar is also on the roster for the upcoming New Zealand T20 series, which kicks off on 22 October in Christchurch. The 36‑year‑old previously played for India in the 2022 T20 World Cup semi‑final against England.
