Bhakti Sharma sets sights on Asian Games Paralympic debut after World Championship success

Buoyed by her double‑medal performance in South Korea, Bhakti Sharma is now eyeing the Asian Games Paralympic shooting events scheduled for later this year. The young athlete believes that competing on the continental stage will sharpen her skills ahead of a possible Paralympic appearance.

Her training camp, overseen by JP Nautiyal, now incorporates advanced target simulation and mental conditioning to prepare her for the heightened pressure of multi‑nation competitions.

“The Asian Games will be a crucial stepping stone," Bhakti said through a sign‑language interpreter. “I want to represent India again and aim for the gold.”

Officials from the Paralympic Committee of India have pledged logistical support, including travel arrangements and accommodation, to ensure a smooth preparation period.
