Sean Bergara to lead Southern Brave men's bowling with Mohit Sharma support

Southern Brave has appointed former Scotland head coach Sean Bergara to spearhead the men's bowling programme for the 2026 season. Bergara, who previously worked with South Africa’s KZN Inland and the Dolphins before moving to Hampshire, will oversee the development of pace and spin resources across the squad.

He will be assisted by former Indian international Mohit Sharma, widely regarded as a death‑bowling specialist from his IPL stints. Sharma's expertise in delivering at the death overs is expected to complement Bergara's strategic outlook, creating a robust bowling unit capable of adapting to varied conditions.

Alongside the bowling staff, former Ireland player John Mooney joins the men's coaching team to focus on fielding standards, ensuring the side maintains high performance levels in all facets of the game.

Jonathan Batty retains responsibility for the women's team, with a dedicated coaching panel to address batting, bowling, and fielding specifics.
