Bengaluru to Host India U-19 Women vs Nepal Tri-Series
Bengaluru will be the venue for a tri-series featuring two India Under-19 women's teams and Nepal's Under-19 women's side. The matches will be played at the BCCI Centre of Excellence between November 10 and 22, providing a crucial stage in the lead-up to next year's Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup.
The tournament brings together India's Under-19 'A' and 'B' squads with Nepal. India B will open against Nepal on November 12, and Nepal will meet India A on November 14. A second round of fixtures sees India B play Nepal again on November 18, followed by India A against Nepal on November 20. The final is scheduled for November 22. All games start at 1 pm Indian Standard Time.
India's defence of the Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup begins with a place in Group A, alongside co-hosts Nepal, the West Indies and Ireland. The global event will run from January 21 to February 6 across Bangladesh and Nepal. India's first match is against the West Indies in Kathmandu on January 22.
India claimed the inaugural title in South Africa in 2023 under Shafali Verma's leadership, and Nikki Prasad's squad retained it in Malaysia in 2025. Fielding two sides in this series will allow selectors to closely observe a wider group of players, helping them finalise the 15-member World Cup squad.
Nepal reach Bengaluru after taking part in the Belt and Road Under-19 Girls T20 tournament in China, held from November 3 to 8. Hong Kong and Thailand were the other visiting teams at that event, alongside the host nation, China.
After the tri-series, India's Under-19 women will host England's Under-19 women for five T20 Internationals from November 26 to December 6. The opening two matches will be staged at the BCA Stadium in Kotambi, Vadodara, and the final three at the CB Patel International Cricket Stadium in Surat.
Earlier this season, Bhavika Ahire, a member of the 2025 title-winning side, captained India's Under-19 women in a six-match white-ball home series against Sri Lanka. The series took place in Chennai and Puducherry during June and July, and India won it.
The third edition of the World Cup will feature four groups of four teams, with games in Chattogram, Sylhet and Kathmandu. The group stage concludes on January 26, after which qualifiers will be divided into two Super Six groups. The top two sides from each group will reach the semifinals on February 4. The final will be held in Chattogram on February 6, with reserve days on February 5 and 7.
