Beaumont to Bow Out Following Historic Women’s Test at Lord’s

The England and Wales Cricket Board confirmed that Tammy Beaumont will retire from the international game after the women's Test against India at Lord’s, scheduled to begin on 10 July. Her retirement caps a 17‑year journey that started in November 2009.

In her time with England, Beaumont featured in 260 matches, compiled 7,325 runs, and recorded twelve ODI centuries – a national record. She was instrumental in England’s 2017 World Cup win, topping the tournament with 410 runs and earning the Player of the Tournament accolade.

Beaumont highlighted the emotional significance of playing her final match at Lord’s, the first women’s Test to be held there, describing it as “the perfect way to say goodbye”. At 35, she also joins a small cohort of England women who have scored centuries in Tests, ODIs and T20Is, and she remains the only Englishwoman to have posted a double‑hundred in Tests, a 208‑run innings against Australia in 2023.

She will continue representing Birmingham Phoenix in domestic competitions, thanking supporters, coaching staff, teammates, and her family for their role in her successful career.
