Bangladesh Adjusts Squad Ahead of Australia Tour; Tuskyn Ahmed Opts Out of LPL

The Bangladesh cricket board confirmed several changes to its squad ahead of the August Test series against Australia. Fast bowler Ibadat Hussain will sit out the series as his wife awaits their first child.

Simultaneously, young pacer Taskeen Ahmed has withdrawn from his Lanka Premier League assignment with the Jaffna Kings. He explained that playing six consecutive matches in Zimbabwe would have left him insufficient time to train for the Australian conditions, so he chose to concentrate on the upcoming Tests.

The series kicks off on August 13 in Darwin, with a second match slated for August 22. Both games count toward the World Test Championship.

Bangladesh also awaits the scan results of Nahid Rana and hopes that experienced batsman Liton Das can recover fully from a calf strain before the opening Test.
