Bangladesh struggle in second innings, fold for 185

Bangladesh’s second innings at Harare Sports Club collapsed under relentless Zimbabwean pressure. After a cautious start that saw them at 22 runs for one wicket, the visitors lost three quick wickets and were soon 46 for three. Captain Najmul Hossain Shanto tried to steady the ship with a 30‑run cameo, while Mushfiqur Rahim added 34.

Despite a brief 61‑run stand between Shanto and Rahim, the team could not recover and were bowled out for 185. Taijul Islam was the standout bowler for Bangladesh, finishing with figures of 4 for 138, while Khalid Ahmed picked up two wickets.

Zimbabwe, having posted 410 in their first innings thanks to Innocent Kaia’s maiden hundred and solid contributions from Brian Bennett and others, secured a dominant 85‑run win. The contest will be followed by a three‑match ODI series and a three‑match T20 series between the two nations.
