Ayyar Highlights West Indies' Batting Brilliance After India's T20 Loss

Ranchi, October 9 – After a 6‑wicket defeat to the West Indies in the second T20 International, India’s skipper Shreyas Ayyar spoke about the opposition’s batting prowess. India managed 249 runs, with Sanju Samson’s 82‑run effort standing out. The West Indies, however, chased down the target in 18.3 overs, losing only four wickets. Shai Hope’s unbeaten 102 from 45 balls and Sherfane Rutherford’s 84 off 37 balls were the highlights of the chase. Ayyar noted that the pitch left little room for mistakes and praised the West Indian batsmen for their “excellent” performance, while also commending Mayank Yadav’s three wickets and Samson’s aggressive approach.
