Ayyar highlights collective fault, not blaming Ravi Bishnoi, after 4‑wicket loss

After India's 4‑wicket loss to England at Old Trafford, captain Shreyas Ayyar made it clear that the defeat was a team issue rather than the failing of a single bowler. While acknowledging that Ravi Bishnoi’s 16th over was costly, conceding 29 runs and two no‑balls, Ayyar said the young leg‑spinner will emerge stronger after this experience.

The Indian batting line‑up managed 190 for 7, but the pressure in the final overs saw England seal the win with 4 wickets left. Ayyar praised England’s Jacob Bethel for his composed 76 runs off 46 balls, describing his innings as commendable.

Meanwhile, youngster Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who debuted at 15 years and 99 days, added 14 runs before being dismissed. Ayyar complimented his fearless approach and confidence at such a tender age.
