With six one‑day internationals slated across Zimbabwe and South Africa, Nathan Ellis believes Australia has a unique window to trial combinations and refine tactics before the 2027 World Cup, which will be co‑hosted by the two African nations and Namibia.

Ellis said the back‑to‑back series will allow the side to experiment with bowling rotations, analyze opponent strengths, and adapt to varied pitch conditions.
