Asian Games Kabaddi: India’s Men Advance, Women Also Book Final Berth
Both Indian kabaddi squads have clinched places in the Asian Games finals. The men’s team overcame Thailand 66‑28 in a semi‑final at Tokai, securing a spot in the ninth men’s final where they aim to retain the 2023 championship. Earlier, the women’s team defeated Nepal 48‑24 to book their own final appearance. In the women's match, India led 31‑17 at the half‑time break and added 17 points in the second half while Nepal managed only seven. India posted 23 outs and four bonus points along with two all‑outs in the first half, and followed with 12 outs, three bonuses and an all‑out in the closing stage. Nepal recorded 13 outs and three bonuses in the opening half and managed five outs with two bonuses in the final minutes. The women will meet either Chinese Taipei or Iran on Saturday.
