Guido Andreozzi and Manuel Guinard etched their names in Indian Wells Open history by capturing the doubles championship. In the final showdown, they overcame Arthur Rinderknech and Valentin Vacherot with a convincing 7-6(3), 6-3 scoreline after 83 minutes of intense play.
The champions’ tournament run was nothing short of spectacular. They knocked out No. 4 seeds Christian Harrison and Neal Skupski in the quarters, followed by a stunning semifinal victory over top-seeded Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos. These wins propelled the 2025-formed duo to their first joint Masters 1000 title.
Guinard’s haul now includes two Masters 1000 doubles trophies, the first coming with Romain Arneodo at Monte-Carlo earlier this year. Andreozzi continues his hot streak, adding to recent victories at Umag, Buenos Aires, and Bastad, while maintaining a strong 4-1 record in ATP Finals appearances.
Celebrating on court, Andreozzi shared, ‘I’m over the moon to win here. Playing with Manu has been special since August last year.’ Guinard added, ‘This was a high-stakes match; we trained hard and handled the nerves as a team.’
The runners-up, fresh off a memorable Shanghai Masters in 2025, had defeated five seeded pairs to reach the final, proving their mettle but falling just short against the champions’ precision.
As the curtains fall on Indian Wells, Andreozzi and Guinard depart as heroes, their chemistry promising more accolades ahead.
