Yash Majumdar (71-69-69) and Rashid Khan (70-72-67) are locked in a tie for second at 209. Majumdar’s unique one-handed chips kept him in the hunt until a bogey on the last, while Rashid’s blistering 67 – featuring one eagle, five birdies, and three bogeys – propelled him up the leaderboard.
Joshi’s journey on Thursday was marked by grit. Three early three-putts tested his resolve, but he responded with a birdie on the seventh after his approach stopped inches from the hole. The pivotal moment arrived on the 12th, a par-5 where his 15-footer for eagle found the cup, electrifying the gallery.
The course tweak – transforming the par-5 seventh into a par-4 measuring 477 yards – has made the layout tougher, with par now at 71. San Diego University alum Majumdar impressed with his flair, nearly grabbing the lead before slipping.
Viraj Madappa (69-71-71) and Arjun Sharma (71-70-70) share fourth at 211. For Joshi, ranked 55th on the DP World PGTI Order of Merit, this is a golden chance to claim his seventh pro title and snap a winless streak dating back to Coimbatore in 2022. Can he hold off the challengers tomorrow?
