Afghan Cricket Looks to Nabi’s Experience as T20 Futures Unfold
Kabul, 8 October – In a candid interview, Afghanistan head coach Richard Pybus expressed confidence that Mohammad Nabi still possesses the tools to influence T20 matches. While Nabi was left out of the squad for the Bangladesh‑Zimbabwe series, Pybus believes his seasoned mindset and physical readiness can still be leveraged by the team.
"He is a superb cricketer who keeps himself in great shape, and his hunger for competition is evident," Pybus explained. "His disciplined nature and the respect he commands among teammates add depth to the squad beyond pure statistics."
The coach also hinted that Nabi’s involvement in upcoming training camps will help younger players understand the nuances of innings building and game management, crucial for Afghanistan’s growth in international cricket.
