13 matches scheduled as Women’s Andhra Premier League announces teams and auction highlights

The schedule for the Women’s Andhra Premier League’s maiden season has been released, confirming a total of 13 matches to be played at Mangalagiri Stadium between September 19 and September 27. Four franchises – Amaravati E‑Champions, RoyalCima Jane Stars, Vijay Firebirds, and Godavari Golden Eagles – will compete for the title.

During the player auction, bids were placed on 74 female cricketers. All‑rounder Hernita Plavia fetched the highest price, INR 4.30 lakh, and was secured by the Godavari Golden Eagles. The youngest signing, 12‑year‑old Shani Pria, joined RoyalCima Jane Stars, marking a historic moment for the league.

Director of Cricket Kalyan Krishna highlighted the league’s franchise structure and expressed confidence that the tournament will boost women’s cricket in Andhra, especially after recent strong performances by senior national players in international events.
