Mumbai. State Bank of India (SBI) has opened ‘Yono branches’ in select cities. It aims to promote adoption of digital banking among the bank’s customers. YONO (You Only Need One) is SBI ‘s digital banking app .

The bank said in a release that it has opened one yono branch each in Navi Mumbai, Indore and Gurugram under the pilot project.SBI Chairman Rajnish Kumar said that we are confident that the YONO branch will empower customers to adopt digital banking and with this help they will be able to easily avail all banking services.

At the bank’s self-service centers, customers can do 24-hour smart machines to deposit checks, withdraw money, deposit money and print passbooks. For this, they do not need to depend on the employees of the bank.The bank introduced these branches on the 65th anniversary of its establishment. The bank plans to open such branches across the country in the next 5 years.
