The Look Out story mission is the first task for the White Lotus faction in Call of Duty DMZ, and you will need to locate a mysterious IR beacon off the coast of Ashika Island. This mission serves as an introduction to the objectives players will face and the mechanics involved in the game. With the right guidance, you can easily navigate through the mission and understand where to find the beacon and how to successfully complete the task.

In this article, I will walk you through every step needed to find the IR beacon, plant it at the designated location, and what to expect as you progress through the mission. Whether you're a seasoned player or just starting your journey, this guide is tailored to provide you with valuable insights and tips to enhance your gameplay experience.

The key to succeeding in the Look Out mission lies in understanding the map layout of Ashika Island and knowing the critical points of interest (POIs) that will assist you in your quest. With this knowledge, you can not only complete the mission efficiently but also gather useful items and experience for future missions.

Where to Find the IR Beacon on Ashika Island DMZ

You can find the Look Out IR Beacon all the way north of Oganikku farms in the waters of Ashika Island. There is a small island on the E1 section of the grid that is nothing but rocks. On this small piece of land, you can find the IR Beacon sitting by itself, ready to be picked up.

Once you've located the IR Beacon, simply take it for yourself and add it to your backpack. This marks the completion of the first part of the White Lotus Look Out mission. However, the journey doesn’t end here, as you will need to bring the IR beacon to Ashika Island Castle to fulfill the mission requirements.

Understanding Ashika Castle: Location and Importance

The Ashika Castle, also known as Tsuki Castle, is the major POI in the center of the Ashika Island map. This is one of the most dangerous areas on the island, often populated by formidable enemies, including a Juggernaut and the Bomb Maker Commander. You need to make your way to the castle with the IR Beacon in hand.

Upon arrival at Tsuki Castle, prepare for combat as you will likely encounter hostile forces. To make your mission easier, take out the enemies in the area before attempting to plant the beacon. Once the area is secure, climb up to the roof of the castle where you will find an indicator for planting the IR beacon. Following this, your Look Out mission will be complete!

Final Thoughts on the Look Out Mission

Once the beacon is planted, there is no need for extraction. A mission complete notification will appear on your screen, and you will unlock a new tier of White Lotus missions to explore. Completing the Look Out mission not only advances your progress but also adds to your experience in the game.
