A tragic accident in Kadokoda village, West Singhbhum district, has claimed the life of a young man, sparking outrage among local residents. The incident occurred on Monday morning when Golak Nayak, also known as Hariom Nayak, 28, was reportedly sitting outside his home. A tractor, while reversing, tragically struck and crushed him, leading to his immediate death at the scene.
The victim, a resident of the Kadokoda Adivasi Toli, was enjoying the morning sun when the devastating mishap took place. The tractor driver’s failure to notice the youth while backing up resulted in the fatal accident. Excessive bleeding from severe injuries proved fatal for Hariom Nayak.
News of the tragedy quickly spread, igniting fury and protests within the village. Authorities from the Jagannathpur police station, led by Station In-charge Avinash Hembram, swiftly arrived at the scene to manage the escalating situation. The tractor involved in the accident has been impounded, and the body has been sent for post-mortem examination to Chaibasa Sadar Hospital. Further legal proceedings are underway to address this unfortunate incident.
