New Delhi: The Vodafone India Foundation has launched a campaign to make people self-reliant with the help of digital literacy and for this the company has launched an online digital skill portal DigiSakshar.org in association with CGI and NASSCOM Foundation. This initiative has been developed by Vodafone under its Connecting for Good program. Its main goal is to empower isolated communities and help them become part of the digital economy.
Through DigiSakshar website, people will not only help in education system but will also help in making livelihood. This portal has been launched specifically to help people become graduates in digital literacy and use this knowledge to build and enhance their livelihood. In addition to offering digital literacy, Vodafone will help in providing better employment and entrepreneurship opportunities to the people. So that people can become self-dependent through digital means.
Launched this portal of Vodafone India Foundation through a virtual event and at the launch, P. Balaji, Chief Regulatory and Corporate Affairs Officer of Vodafone Idea Limited said, ‘Vodafone Idea is committed to developing the communities where we Work. We have many initiatives for change in areas such as agriculture, education, health and women empowerment, which are positively impacting millions of Indians every year.
