The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has given a big blow to Pakistan. In fact, the UAE government has imposed a temporary ban on visas issued to visit Pakistan. Earlier in June, the UAE government had announced a temporary suspension of passenger services in view of the growing outbreak of Corona.
Pakistan Foreign Office spokesman Zahid Hafiz Chowdhury (Pakistan Foreign Office Spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri) has said that the UAE has temporarily suspended the issuance of new travel visas for 12 countries, including Pakistan, until further announcement.
Hafiz Chaudhary said that the suspension would not apply for visas already issued. Note that the UAE government has issued travel visas for Turkey, Iran, Yemen, Syria, Iraq, Somalia, Libya, Kenya, and Afghanistan apart from Pakistan. Issuance suspended.
