On January 12, 1964, Indian spinner Bapu Nadkarni produced what is widely considered the most economical bowling performance in Test history. Facing England, Nadkarni bowled 131 consecutive dot balls, frustrating the opposition with his impeccable line and length. His final figures for that innings were 32-27-5-0. Known as a captain’s dream, Nadkarni had the unique ability to dry up runs from one end for hours, making him a cornerstone of the Indian attack during the 1950s and 60s.
